During the spring of 1992 Estoril Golf Club completed the redesign of three of its holes, and now proudly boasts a course full of the character that made it a favourite with royalty during the first half of this century.

At Estoril Golf Club position of the tee is all important if you are to score well here, as well as a good eye for distance.

The Estoril Golf Club has been here since 1945. Two of the most important tournaments in the Portuguese golfing calendar have been held frequently on this course: the Portuguese Open 20 times and the International Amateur Championship 62 times.

The splendid clubhouse has a pro shop, a bar, changing rooms, a swimming pool and a restaurant, with a long veranda and a superb view, where a variety of tasty Portuguese dishes are served.

The Estoril Golf Course is situated in one of the most traditional and touristic areas of Europe. It is one of the oldest and best known golf courses in the country.

The golf course was designed by McKenzie Ross, and is surely a masterpiece which undoubtabley demands all the aspects of tactics and course management. Special challenges at the par 3 holes which, although vary in length, are all visually stunning.

Excellent use has been made of the pine trees and eucalyptuses, which added to the uneven terrain, make playing here a test of accuracy rather than distance. It is a short course and presents a fascinating challenge for all players. Estoril offers the golfer the most experienced caddies, who are always available to offer advice on the most difficult shots.

Facilities include: Putting Green, Pro shop, restaurant, practice/chipping area, lessons/caddies.
