General holiday information and booking conditions. OUR DESCRIPTIONS - The descriptions of the regions, hotels, courses and other aspects of the holidays are based on opinions gained on visits to them and on the opinions of official bodies and guides. We have gone to considerable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the descriptions and information we offer. However, we are not always able to exercise control over all the components of the holiday arrangements and it is possible that an advertised amenity be withdrawn or changed due to various reasons such as water conservation, renovation work, etc. We will advise you if we become aware of a major change but we cannot accept liability for loss, damage or inconvenience in such circumstances. YOUR HOLIDAY ITTINERARY - Your holiday itinerary is as stated on your and Confirmation of Booking. The tee times and golf courses on your Confirmation of Booking are always requested but sometimes not confirmed by the time we send your account. We will of course ask you for your preferred plan of action should your requested tee times or golf course not be possible. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY YOU - We do not charge clients for
minor changes. Should you make a major change such as altering the date
of your holiday, we will charge you £25 plus any charges incurred
by us. Should the name of the party leader change, there will be a charge
of £25 plus any charges incurred by us. Should you or any of your
party cancel the following charges will apply: CHANGES AND CANCELLATION BY US - Should there be any changes to your itinerary between our discussion with you and the time we send your Confirmation of Booking, we will inform you and ask for your preferred plan of action. We will also contact you should there be any slight changes to your itinerary between your confirmation and the sending of your tickets/vouchers. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel or drastically change your itinerary, you will be entitled to a full refund or you will be offered a replacement holiday of at least equal value. Should force majeure lead to a drastic change to your holiday, we will do our best to offer a suitable alternative. ALTERATIONS IN COST - Should there be any increase in the cost to us, caused by currency exchange rate fluctuations, Government action, or changes in air or ferry fares and hotel and golf charges, we will absorb the first three per cent of them. You will be required to meet any increase between four and ten per cent. If we have to increase the price of your holiday by more than ten per cent, you will have the option of continuing with the holiday arrangements and meeting the extra costs (above the first three per cent) or of cancelling with a refund of any money you have paid to us, except for any premium paid to us for insurance and any charges you have incurred for amendments. If you decide to cancel the holiday, you must do so within seven working days of the issue of the revised Confirmation of Booking. CONFIMRATION OF BOOKING - The holiday contract is between the party leader and Golf Holidays Abroad Ltd. The contract commences when we have sent your Confirmation of Booking and have received your deposit in return. The holiday contract is subject to the English law and is binding under the relevant conventions. DEPOSIT AND FULL PAYMENT - We require a deposit of 20% per person when you book your holiday. The deposit is payable within seven days of your receipt of your Confirmation of Booking. The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the start of your holiday. BOOKING BY PHONE - We have an increasing number of telephone bookings. Please note that your credit card details will be taken as security until you have paid your deposit. Should you cancel your holiday or tee times after we have reserved the arrangements for you, but before you have paid your deposit, we will deduct a nominal £50 off your credit card to help cover our costs. TICKETS AND VOUCHERS - We will send your tickets and vouchers approximately two weeks prior to your departure (apart from late bookings). The pack will contain all the details to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. COMPLAINTS - In the event that any part of your holiday is not up to the standard you expect, please inform the relevant supplier - such as the cross-channel ferry operator and Golf Holidays Abroad Ltd as soon as possible. Together, we will do our utmost to provide you with a 'quality solution'. Should you still be unhappy, please inform us in writing, within 28 days of your return and we will do our very best to provide answers to your queries. Should we not provide reasonable performance of the holiday contract with you, we will endeavour to provide reasonable recompense. PASSPORTS AND HEALTH REGULATIONS - A passport is necessary to travel to all European countries. Kindly advise our staff if one of your party is not a British citizen or a citizen from another European Community. Most European countries enjoy the same level of medical service as Great Britain. It is advisable to obtain from your local DHSS office a copy of the booklet Protect Your Health Abroad and the form E111 for presentation when seeking medical assistance abroad. The E111 entitles you, your spouse and your dependants to free state provided or reduced cost emergency treatment. IMPORTANT NOTES ON PRICES - If a hotel has several price categories for rooms, we have included the standard rooms. Should you require the best rooms, we will reserve them for you at the appropriate extra charge. Prices are based on the current exchange rate. The price on your Confirmation of Booking will be the total cost of your holiday and will include any supplements payable unless otherwise stated. FLIGHTS - We book the flights ourselves to achieve the best possible flight prices. Flight times are sometimes changed for reasons beyond our control and we will alert you to your new travel times. Such changes do not entitle you to cancel or postpone your holiday. All flights are ATOL protected and you will be issued with an ATOL receipt for your flight booking. LATE BOOKINGS - We are happy to take late bookings but we do like at least five working days in order to organise, reserve your holiday and send you your tickets/vouchers. However, holidays can be booked as late as the day of departure. For late bookings (six weeks to the day of departure), the total cost of the holiday is due immediately. TRAVEL INSURANCE - Golf Holidays Abroad Ltd strongly recommends you undertake travel insurance. We can provide travel insurance, details of which are available upon request. Our travel insurance is provided by the Travel Trust Association and includes cover for your golf equipment. HANDICAPS - Please inform us of your party's handicaps. This assists
us in planning your golf and it also helps the golf club. Some golf clubs
will require you to produce a handicap certificate. REDUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN - Many courses offer green fee reductions for junior golfers ages 18 or under. Most of the hotels we work with offer free accommodation for children under 12 years of age sharing a room with their parents. REDUCTIONS FOR PGA PROFESSIONALS - There are generous green fee reductions for PGA registered professionals. GROUP DISCOUNTS - There are group discounts available for parties of sixteen or more. The reduction will depend on your itinerary, the exact number in your party and will be detailed on your quotation. VALUABLES - Golf Holidays Abroad Limited cannot accept liability for any loss of personal belongings. Several hotels offer a safe in the hotel bedrooms. If this is not available, ask the hotel reception to look after your valuables. HOTEL ROOMS - In general, rooms are available for occupancy between noon and 3pm on the day of your arrival and should be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Your luggage can be left at the hotel reception if need be. LUGGAGE ON AIRCRAFT - Baggage allowance varies, depending on the airline you travel with. We will inform you of the allowance when booking and your golf clubs are included in this allowance. Airlines may charge you extra for golf clubs and for taking luggage above the allowance. CAR HIRE - All drivers must be ages 21 or over and must have held a valid driving licence for at least two years. The car hire companies are well signposted and tend to be just outside the main airport terminals. You will be asked to produce your driving licence when you present your voucher at the booth. You will be given a form to sign. Please ensure you do not sign for extra insurance unless you want it. SPECIAL REQUESTS - We will do our best to provide for your special requests. However, please do not accept this as a guarantee of provision but as a guarantee of our endeavour. LOCAL TIMES - All times stated on the Confirmation of Booking
are local. GROUP TRAVEL - It is deemed the responsibility of the party leader to ensure that these booking conditions are read by each party member.
